Response to Janine Antoni

Response to Janine Antoni

“loss and Desire” by Janine Antoni
Janine Antoni, uses his own body as subject and object of their works. Gnawing, spitting, licking, cleaning, blinking, are some of their actions corporals. Are some of the body actions she turns into sculptural processes to create work.
It is very interesting how the artist uses materials of daily use like soap, lard, dye for hair, chocolate. They are all materials that come into contact intimate with the body and to redefine the context of our culture.. I think the artist influenced by the 1970s, the artist Antoni feminist art, explores the feminist with her guts: acting with her own body in a obsessive way. His work shows the complexity of female eroticism, the wishes and dreams of women.

Architecture Relief

I selected two architectural times as inspiration for my project. First of all, the Church of Holy Family, 1882, inspired me. Gaudí designed it, 1882. This style is characterized by combiner art Gothic and curvilinear Art nouveau forms.
Second, I selected The Faisal Mosque from Pakistan, 1986. It is the largest mosque in the world. Islamic architecture, fusing contemporary lines with the more traditional look of an Arab Bedaunis tent. Many traditional Muslim criticized de design at first for its unconventional design and lack of a traditional dome structure.
